Rose’s Coach, William J. Curran, kept a notebook which included stories, details, and praises of Rose, her records, and her swims.
Thanks to Rose’s granddaughter Sandy, we have a reproduction of several of the pages from this book.

I agree. I find it a very moving piece – the handwriting, the personal feeling. We are very fortunate to have this perspective on the event.
